A Family-Friendly Surf School at Praia da Bordeira.
Carrapateira Surf School is a small, family-friendly surf school based at Praia da Bordeira on the wild west coast of the Algarve. We welcome beginners and intermediate surfers in small groups, with certified local instructors guiding every step from the sand to the water.
Praia da Bordeira is known for its wide sandy beach and consistent waves, making it one of the best spots in Portugal to learn to surf. After your session, relax at our beach bar with a drink and watch the sunset over the ocean.

No experience is necessary. Our lessons are geared towards both beginners and surfers who want to improve their skills.
All lessons include a surfboard, wetsuit, instructor experience, insurance, and plenty of time in the water.
Just bring your swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and water. We'll take care of the rest.
Yes. Safety is our priority and our instructors are experienced in teaching both children and beginners to surf. We welcome children from 8 years of age.
Our classes take place directly on Bordeira Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches and ideal for beginners in the Algarve.
